The brickyard and its surroundings have long provided magic for those who live and work here but can equally create a spell for the casual visitor ….. "To visit the brickyard is like going back in time yet people who know the place comment on its timelessness."
The brickyard is not routinely open to the public for tours however we do welcome groups from 2 to 30+ people by prior arrangement. We welcome private parties, schools, history groups, local interest groups, and architectural, building, and industry professionals and can tailor your tour to specific areas of interest.

This Autumn, the Foundation will host two tours of the Bulmer Brick and Tile brickyard.
There are two dates currently available
• Friday 11th September - 10 am
• Tuesday 6th October - 10 am

We are situated on the Suffolk/Essex border between Sudbury and Halstead.
Our office is open Monday – Friday from 9.00 – 5.00 pm. However, please telephone before coming to ensure that the relevant person is on-site to assist you.

From Sudbury take the A131 to Halstead. At Bulmer Tye, just past the Bulmer Fox pub, take a right on the B1058 signposted to Hedingham. We are located exactly one mile from this junction.
